My relaxing day, after a smashin' weekend hiking in the Peak District with my daughter, turned into quite a busy one..
Lots of chores have been chored, including planting out some Sunflowers 🌻

Dried out fully, including turning it upside-down to ensure the underneath is dry & clean.

That was one of the best venues I've been to - a massive ex-chapel where they've left the stained glass windows, ceiling decorations and the organ pipes intact. Added to a fantastic performance and I'm a very happy Jenkins.

Wet walk back to the hotel and one last drink before bed.

Bread dough* made for a friend's birthday gift to go alongside the cheese that I bought her. Now it's time for one last

* four grain (wheat, wholemeal spelt, oats & white rye) with honey and toasted sesame seeds.

Bread in the fridge to do its bulk ferment overnight, a has been sunk (chamomile, honey, lemon & ginger) and now it's time to go and find my bed.

Good morning from a 3rd floor hotel room in slowly brightening up Manchester. Today's view is only of interest to those who like 1970s (at a guess) concrete office blocks.

I've about 20 minutes to let the very large cooked breakfast settle before leaving for Victoria station for the first of 4 trains home.
