Evening outing for the ebike to Sainsbury's and Waitrose for non chilled non frozen goods. The main climb on the cycle route to town had at long last been resurfaced. Waiting to turn right at the top a car driver stopped alongside and remarked how much easier it must be to cycle on.
Yellow label scones from Waitrose dated tomorrow and now in the freezer.

What a thoroughly miserable day it's been in this corner of Suffolk. The rain cleared through early afternoon leaving that very fine misty drizzle for another couple of hours. At least it was dry enough to get out for an hour for today's exercise before tea time.

In advance of Friday's day out, I have already set the alarm clock so that I can't oversleep and the route has been tweaked slightly to try out a bit of riverside that I've wanted to ride but couldn't figure out the rail crossing until today.

Thursday's hot chocolate has just been finished.

Had the last of the savoury (cheese, onion & bacon) bread & butter pudding for supper.

Caught up on the Sewing Bee, and have just watched a documentary on The Blitz.

Another ridiculously hot and humid day.

Last day in Bedlam the office completed for this week. Work at home tomorrow.

Another 20 miles after work on single speed. Very hot.

Good morning from Suffolk where the cloud cover is slowly clearing to the east leaving the blue skies I can see to the west from my bedroom. Coffee has already been had with a chocolate digestive and a bowl of porridge will be nuked for breakfast in a little while.

Just need to sort out the rain ticket for today's outing which will be out to Ely by train and then a bike ride back to Stowmarket where lunch will be had and then another train ride home. It's one of those journeys where a reduced price partial return ticket would be nice.
