Itching to get back on my bike's

Three bikes are in the garage and checked for tomorrow's early morning ride just got to decide which one and which route.
The route will be decided as I go along and the bike decision will depend if we have any rain overnight or forecast whilst out .

I hope it's better than the system we had which never worked properly as it was designed for a NOH working environment and we were shift working or with odd length days and mid-week rest days in the middle of leave. It was so bad that some people found it easier to book a fortnight's holiday one day at a time rather than do a block booking then have to go back in and override the various errors the system threw up!

Had a lovely supper of quiche, a cous cous salady thing and some somatoes.
After that, zipped to the community orchard for a basket of Jolly Miller apples. Quite a few apples on the ground with one bite taken out of them. Sure, they're beautiful apples (green with a lot of lovely red & pink stripes) but they're a cooking apple! As a result, hardly anyone picks them. I'll spread them out in a crate tomorrow. They'll keep for a couple of months, so lots of nice apple-y things on the horizon once they're fully ripe. Snaffled half a dozen Red Victoria (another early cooker, but one that doesn't store well) as I fancy a piece of pig with apple sauce.
I've just made a pot of blackberry & apple pie filling.

What colleges or universities are teaching people that you should get rid of things before you have it's replacement in place? It's a bit like pressing delete on hours of work you've done on your computer before saving it. It seems to be the norm at the moment.
My wife just did that on a special study.

My job always seems to involve removing electronic merde from the rapidly rotating. After some outrageous event.
Reaction was heated and spectacular Generally not helped by my suggestion that this had happened before.
A cold front prevails. Not helped by me suggesting that in my opinion the file was lost.
Fortunately a close acquaintance and anorak told her the same thing. That's fine, he knows what he's doing. Now it's just quiet.

Today's miserable weather turned out to be quite productive for me.
Once I'd got the washing onto the clothes horse to dry and found somewhere to hang the wet cycling clothing to dry I made a pint of squash and got on with sorting out the British Cycling renewal. I did have a quick look at Cycling UK (what was the CTC) but BC was slightly cheaper, the discounts better and they both provide the same level of insurance which all I'm really after. Next up was the car insurance and I got it for under £250 (£290 last year) with one of the bigger companies. Plus the bonus of a £20 Sainsbury voucher and a free hot drink per month from the comparison site.
After a quick catch up with the news it was still raining so the four bikes in the attached shed were moved into the kitchen and then shuffled in and out of the shed in turn for a quick chain clean and lube and frame & wheel clean. By the time I'd finished, so had the rain and consideration was given for a quick ride but the need for a coffee took precedence.
A very quiet evening has since been had.
