On the Apple theme, tonight we had the first crumble of the season.
Grandson loves picking them, not so keen on crumble.
We also got the juicer out. One cup from about 8 or 9 apples.
I wouldn't bother but he likes chopping them and does drink the juice

I shall be making apple & date chutney, apple & sage jelly and probably some apple butter with tonight's pickings Purrfect to stash away for Xmas pressies.

I'm thinking I should get a Ferret Scout car or possibly a Daimler Dingo armoured car for approaching roundabouts. Maybe a Challenger 2 tank!
Yesterday my brother and I were almost hit by a Peugeot driver who's brakes don't apparently work. We could see him up the road on our right, the roundabout was clear so my brother entered next thing we heard was a his car horn blaring away. We had dared to enter the roundabout! I blame the Vehicle Standards Agency for changing the rules to Give way to all vehicles approaching the roundabout from the right within 100 miles!

Morning all, another grey start but it’s Saturday so that’s good.
Went for my end of week ride after work yesterday which stayed dry.
Chiropractor appointment this morning to hopefully get straightened

I was trying some parts on my Planet X frame yesterday. I found a nice pair of Campag brakes which I thought would fit. The trouble is is that the carbon frame is much thicker so I had to fit the front brake on the rear stays due to the bolt length. When I tried fitting the front brake I found that the mounting bolt isn't long enough. I will have to see if I can get a longer mounting bolt.

The other day a maths question I can remember from school popped into my head. It was about a Sheppard wanting to share his flock of goats among his 3 sons. The oldest was to get half , his next son a third and the youngest an eighth. The problem was he had 23 goats. A wise neighbour solved the problem.
I can remember how to do it now but it was a puzzle all those years ago!

To be fair, a lot of German words sound like they should involve Alcohol.

In my opinion my German improves in direct proportion to the amount of alcohol consumed. To my listeners it's an inverse proportion
