The other day a maths question I can remember from school popped into my head. It was about a Sheppard wanting to share his flock of goats among his 3 sons. The oldest was to get half , his next son a third and the youngest an eighth. The problem was he had 23 goats. A wise neighbour solved the problem.
I can remember how to do it now but it was a puzzle all those years ago!

12 , 8 and 3 to each

I can't fault B&Q and their couriers telling me where the delivery is upto. Had a few messages this week, and as mentioned earlier, checking a large delivery van can get here. Phone call at 7am saying the order was now out for delivery and will be with us just after 11am. We've only a couple of small boxes for a 'corner cupboard'. We've ordered a pull out racking system. The order has taken over 10 weeks - god knows what would happen if you were building a kitchen and needing the inner system. We're updating our kitchen, rather than replace. Kick boards were removed and I've fitted six under unit 'plinth drawers'. You just press them with your foot, and the drawer springs out. Ideal for oven trays, tins, sports bottles. Relatively simple to fit to any kitchen.

Good morning from Suffolk where it's yet another day where cloud cover dominates with added breeze compared to the past few days. Coffee has been had once I finally managed to escape the duvet and it sounds like football has started again on the local playing field.

Today's activities have yet to be decided upon - there's the 750 Motor Club meeting at Snetterton or I may just have a lazy morning and get one of the newly cleaned bikes out and go for a two or three hour ride later. Breakfast first, no matter what.

Sunny start so sun tan lotion on and tinted cycling glasses for the first leg of this morning shopping trip, which was to Asda. Sponge puds, marmalade and bananas (for once). Had clouded over when I returned to the ebike and continued to Waitrose; cheap milk, 2 packs of yellow sticker scones for the freezer and the store paper.
Returning to the ebike I found a dog had been tied to the adjacent bike stand and was lying on the floor with its front paws immediately behind my front wheel. The dog did not respond to my requests for it move its paws, just looking at what was going on as I re-equipped the ebike with the Wahoo etc. Fortunately its owner appeared and the dog had gone by the time I moved the bike.
☕& iced bun once home and now the washing to hang out in the hope it stays dry.

Delivery arrived on time just after I had relocated a double socket in the kitchen unit (hob and cooker clock). The unit was like a giant mechano set, but had it all done by 2pm, including a small cupboard that I flitted pull out drawers to. With both fitted you do get less storage but it's accessible. There isn't anything that remains shoved to the back of the cupboard. Decent practical upgrade to a 30 year old kitchen.
