Good morning from Suffolk where it's been an unexpectedly mostly uncloudy start to the day although the sky has now returned to its recently customary grey colour.

A late coffee has been had after yet another extended lie in following a late night planning a couple of potential routes for an outing next week. As a result at some point today I've got to go out and get the train tickets printed from the machine at one of the local stations (bicycle reservations can't be done with e-tickets). While out I may as well get some rolls for tea and have a gentle ride around the local lanes.

Pottering around getting things sorted for holiday tomorrow , i wanted to go riding this weekend but the side effects of the meds i have been on means i dont want to be in the middle of nowhere in need of a pit stop .

In Polska, you ask for a "szklanka herbaty" if you want a brew.

A szklanka is a glass. Ergo a glass of tea. A cup is a kubek.

Just don't ask for tea with milk. They look at you rather funny. DAMHIKT.

As well they should.

Dull morning, sunny but windy afternoon. Made a bit of space in the wheelie bin for more parts of the buddleia. Lots of dead heads unreachable and those that were took revenge as I suddenly had a coughing fit.

Convinced mrs ck that a smaller car might be a better idea for her driving abilities, even though the corrolla estate ( or wagon as we call them at work ) is a brilliant car most of the time we done need the room as its usually just mrs ck and mini ck 2 in the car and the odd family trip out so we were looking what else we can have .
Now we have lost our no claims after her bump the new works scheme where they have fleet insurance included but you lose your no claims after a few years looks more tempting as they have now increased the number of cars we can get .Neighbour has a yaris so we had a look at it and it would fit the bill for what we need being only slightly smaller than the dacia stepway we had before with a 30litre smaller boot so we would need to be more careful with how much we take for the holiday but we have a roof box so we can manage .
Current price per month for a new yaris for me including ved, service, insurance and breakdown is £215 a month which is taken out of wages before deductions .

The one thing I did get yesterday was fruit juice. A sunny if rather breezy Co-op trek and in store walked in a work colleague who I have not seen for yonks.
Fruit juice acquired and 3 packs of Magnuns were £2.75 so that an evening trek with the cool bag coming up during the week.
Back home Strava would not pause recording, ended up rebooting the phone after which it recovered and behaved itself.

Off camping for a few days with Grandson tomorrow morning ⛺

A nice day despite an indifferent forecast. Forty mile ride completed this morning on my nice, shiny, new Brooks.

Did some tidying up this afternoon and some washing. Now time for some live music.

Bank holiday tomorrow but the forecast is very good for second-hand ark salesmen.
