Took the local train all the way to Felixstowe rather than getting off at my local station so that I could pick up some milk in town, otherwise no hot chocolate this evening and no breakfast on Tuesday. Once home a much needed shower and strong coffee was had before I plonked myself in the armchair, from where I've hardly moved.

Time now to put the milk to good use.

A horrible, wet start to today but it did clear up later in the afternoon. First day of the working week completed, still playing catch-up up all the things that went wrong last week.

A nice twenty miles cycled on the single speed. It is noticeably starting to darken down in the evenings now. I always leave it until after 8 when there is less traffic.

Time to put the writing away and head off to bed.

Good morning all, we have failed to escape the heatwave, highs of 25/26 forecast for today and tomorrow. Will be heading out on my bike this morning, will hopefully avoid the worst of it.

Milky sunshine again here this morning. We had a tiny bit of rain last night . I doubt it it registered on our rain gauge.

All set for a ride at last 😊loads of stuff needs doing but I'm supposed to be on holiday so feck it.

They were talking about donating your dead pet to zoos to help feed the animals on the TV a little while ago. They mentioned a family who donated their dead horse. What they didn't explain was having a horse put down is one expense but having to dispose of the dead horse is another. You can't take it home and bury it in your garden like a cat. My friend had that problem some months ago. He didn't tell me how much it cost but it wasn't cheap.
