Morning.
It is a bit cloudy and damp here although not raining. I can see some blue sky to the south.
Yesterday Georgie and I had some one to one time together. I was cutting up some branches to put in the garden waste bin. Georgie stayed with me and found things to attack. Any twigs that moved when I picked up a branch were immediately pounced on, both feet went under an old carpet searching for things to play with. A leaf! It was nice having him with me as he usually disappears.

There was a surprising amount of birdsong this morning, robins mostly, I think. This has now been replaced by a whiny council lawnmower.

A big dark bank of clouds just passed over. It's going to rain, I think. But no, they blew over before they had a chance to unload.

I left my fridge door open last night. I blame a rare white wine for needing to go back into the fridge at the end of the evening. But the milk's still ok.

Tea is disappointing today. I may make an early move onto coffee.

Good morning from Suffolk where the bright & breezy start to the day is becoming a cloudy & breezy mid-morning. Coffee has been had after a very good night's sleep and a lie in.

Today will have to be a domestics day as other things are planned for Thursday & Friday. There will also be a trip into Felixstowe to break up the tedium of housework - It's not often that I look at the Nectar offers at Sainsburys, but they have one on their coffee which is an acceptable replacement for my preferred (and seemingly discontinued) Lidl one.

Re the fridge door. Have you shown due respect to the light gnome?
He may be just doing a bit of attention seeking.
Our fridge gnome tends to drink up small amounts of wine left in bottles. Sometimes he is so conscientious that he'll clear bottles not even in the fridge.
The fridge light is a good point. I'm surprised I didn't notice it being on when I switched the kitchen light off. Perhaps the light gnome was hiding.

Bonnie's been walked.. I love the smell of wet dog in the morning ☔ 🐶

Bonus, though, as I picked what seems to be the last of the plums from the trees I know of 😉

Windy and soggy.
Changed the bedding and put the removed bits on to wash while the rest of the domestics were done. Nothing on the rain radar and a bit of sun so it went into the whirligig to dry when done and I went shopping - only for the rain to start as I left Sainsbury's.
Everything went back into the machine for a quick rinse and spin when I got home and I'm now watching for it to finish then I'm off for a shower to remove the bridleway mud.

At work we were given a box of sweets. A supervisor from other department took it away claiming "all you do nothing, it's for us hardworking ones". She thinks her people are harworking despite multiple complaints from customers. Well, ok. Biggest chance she will take the sweets for herself anyway.
So she put the box in her drawer (we are unfortunate to share the office with her). And didn't lock it.
Next day I came to work and had my sweet (literally) revenge.
I took the box from the drawer. It was still wrapped in that protective film. I cut the film, emptied almost all sweets (left 7 out of 32) and then carefully put the film back and sealed it with a clear sellotape. And put the box back in the drawer. Unless you know what's been done the box look untouched.
Now I'm waiting for a feedback in the form of an earthquake.

seriously? wow? I'd have given them a chance to reconsider & share it on their own. Won't you feel foolish if they decide to do that, says I've had a change of heart, opens it, & sees what has been done? It will only justify further cruelty.
