It's been a cool, bright and blustery day here today chez Casa Reynard. We only racked up one fairly insignificant shower.
Slept well, but took me ages to drift off as i wasn't warm enough. So had to give in to a hot water bottle and an extra blanket on the bed. First main task of the day was listening to Arsenal v Forest.
Caught up with some chores, and noticed a small water leak in the utility room. At first I thought it was the self-defrost from the freezer, but no, it's the nearby heating unit for the hot water that's dripping slightly. So spent some time troubleshooting that. I sort of have it solved, but need to find the user manual for it to make sure I've twiddled the right things. It's a leaky connector, so I've shut off what I think is the valve to the water heater (I very rarely use it tbh) and we'll see if that makes a difference.
After luncheon, I went to the community orchard to pick some of the last of the Jolly Miller apples - the gales coming in will put pay to what's left of those, and they are SUCH a lovely apple. Yep, they're a culinary apple, but they make the best apple crumbles ever.
Cheese, pesto & chicken toastie, chips and a tomato salad for supper.
Now enjoying Last Night of the Proms.
