Today we are off to the Cake District.
Well that's what it sounded like!
One of us is going to get a big surprise when we get there!

Today's 73 plate truck has 452770 kilometres on the odometer and has taken me to Milton Keynes.

Bringing you back is more important.

Good morning from a 1st floor hotel room in currently sunny Milton Keynes. A large cooked breakfast has been had to set me up for the day ahead. The usual short rest is being had, a flask of coffee will be made and then up the road to Silverstone.

Sunny start but clouding over and rain expected.
Apple and peach pie baking day. To do gluten-free free pastry that holds together I discovered the trick is to use two large eggs, so that was rare purchase in Aldi yesterday of large ones. Often mediums have a large it two in them but I decided that was a chance not to be relied on. Once the pastry is made it has to be rapped in cling film and chilled in the fridge for at least 30 minutes

A fresh autumnal morning, enjoyed a few hours on the bike. It has clouded over now.
Pleased to see that the flags that I noticed on Thursday have been removed.

In the time it took me to make my smoked cheese, avocado and salami sandwich, Ireland scored 7 points. In the time it took me to sit down in the living room with my brunch, the try was disallowed and the score went back to 0 - 0. And then, before I'd opened my mouth (it's a reasonable preparation for eating) Ireland had 5 of them back again.

Christmas cards and decorations out in a local garden centre this morning.
Whilst we were there I had a rather nice hot chocolate.

Lunchtime stroll completed and it was dry

Pie in the oven. Knew i had got something wrong with the last one I did but could not remember what. That was until I undid the tin of peach slices and realised they needed draining.
