Phew, got away with it - unchanged prescription so no new glasses required. Also got the boiler service booked for late November as the earliest date when the engineer is free and I'm not away somewhere.

It had also stopped raining by the time I left for town but it was still very breezy, so I used the ebike with panniers and took the opportunity to stock up on more squash, milk & junk food to go in the freezer.

I've been trying to tidy up my bookcase.

I have one of two possible problems:

A. My bookcase is too small.

Or

B. I have too many books.

Perhaps the amount of bookcases you need is n+1!

a customer at my part time job came in a cpl weeks ago. wanted to build shelves for her fiancé. said she had all her books in boxes & she wanted to finally get them unboxed. I made 6 shelves for her. we chatted about voracious readers & book "keeping". my brother keeps all his, my son might but I have no idea where they are. when I finish a book, it gets knocked around the house for a while & then I donate it to the library

your philosophy?

We've got loads, Most of Ian Rankin's books (complete series of inspector Rebus plus some of his others) lots of Bernard Cormwell Complete 'Last Kingdom', a bunch of Discworld books and Maz has loads of biographies, a bunch of early 'scifi' books from my younger days..........Complete set of Douglas Adams and most of Tom Sharpe's books,
I could go on but it would take several pages to list the 4 bookcases worth, but Maz always buys me a book at Criggy and Birthdays, last couple have been ones that I loaned out and never got back..........Philip K. Dick 'A Scanner Darkly' and Luke Rhinehart 'The Dice Man'
