Good morning from a 12th floor* hotel room in grey and gloomy Manchester. Today's view is westbound along the A57(M) although breakfast was had looking eastbound with the Etihad in the near distance. Just a short rest as I need to leave the hotel in about 15 minutes to head to Victoria station for the first leg of the journey home.

*Floor used in a loose sense - ground floor is 0, reception is 9 and there's an NCP car park in between.

What a day so far

While I was out and about earlier, I noticed that people seemed to be staring at me a lot more than usual. After a while I got to feel a little self-conscious, thinking that perhaps I had left a dribble of toothpaste down my chin or something. I had to have a close look at myself in the bathroom mirror when I got home. But nothing. It must have been my rare grace and serenity that was catching their eye.

I've had a morning of being wound up!
I looked on Euro Car Prats for brake discs and pads. I couldn't understand why the brake discs were cheaper than the pads. Went to see what was in the basket and couldn't understand why the price had gone up. It turns out the price of the discs is for one! . As they only sell them in pairs why do they put the price of a single one on?
My wife said that they don't price baked beans that way!

They wound me up so I went elsewhere.

Not the best so a sample handed in. Message back you have an infection. Not kidding, its approaching 2 months. Message continued that it was bring sent to the lab to see if bugs were growing. More antibiotics to collect.
