Annoyingly weather, meant to be dry and sunny. Washing hung out then it rained. Thicker washing in tumble dryer and the rest either hanging from the open stair treads or on an indoor airer.
Car to Lidl as I discovered late last night todays pork medallion was still on a supermarket shelf.
Sun did appear briefly on the return but clouds return so the two together will not doubt trigger more rain.
Co-op trek accomplished in the dry, dropping off three more books at the charity shop. 2 packs of freefrom mince pies bought 25p cheaper than Sainsbury's.

Car washed twice either side of a trip into town for a pair of shoes from M&S using a 20% off Sparks app voucher.
Was evident that the original clean of the mucky lower bodywork had only been partly successful hence the second go.
Have a climbing hydrangea which is a real pain when its leaves drop. Almost half the garden wheelie bin filled with them.

SWMBO has been put on a plane to Northern Ireland due to family stuff and I've headed north to the house we currently have in Brampton for the night.

Heading north on the M6 I got caught up in a group of (loud) modified BMW's plus an old Ford Sierra XR4 who I'm guessing were heading to tomorrow's Sports and Supercar meet in Glasgow. Noted point 1 - an overly loud modded BMW M3 can be out-paced by a Honda CR-V hybrid with bike racks on the roof if in Megasport mode. Don't ask me how I know this  . Also, point 2 - the Sierra was nicer due to NOT having giant stickers all over or having a big exhaust.

This afternoon I went to look at more bits of Hadrian's Wall.

Tomorrow's planned ride out to the Cumbrian coast may be postponed if it's as damp as forecast.

Wander in the sunshine revealed that the battery I was using was not as charged as I thought it was.
This produced a free and frank with t'management over the route home.

The route she wanted to home had 20km left.
I only had a bit more than 10km of battery.
My suggestion of a short cut was over ruled.
I remonstrated, she says shouted. My eBike without a battery is useless.
She declined the suggestion that we could swap bikes and she could pedal the dead weight home.
Eventually compromised, got home with 5km and sundry warnings from the bike and it's App
Cup of tea and it's all gone away. Been like this for 50 years, so I think we'll survive.
