Nice I hope you all get on well
Best of luck with the new arrival and I hope you meet her approvalIt's been a soggy, squelchy, miserable day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well enough, but still feel really drained. Spent the morning topping up all the firewood in the house, and adding the insulation / draught excluder strips to the second of the kitchen windows. Did the outer casement, but didn't quite have enough to finish the inner, so a trip to B&M is required for another pack.
Lovely luncheon of brie and cranberry on toast, a pear and a
Then out of my gate to watch Sir Nigel Gresley go past. They were running nearly 15 mins late, so let's just say I got a bit drookit. Did capture vid footage though, so will post it for those who are of a railwayish persuasion. Coat is dripping out in the hallway, and jeans on the clothes horse upstairs.
After, it was off to pick up Madam Ruby. Horrendous driving conditions, and the A10 was backed up all the way from Ely up to Black Horse, but fortunately in the opposite direction of the way I was going - I came back through Littleport. Madam duly picked up, paperwork done etc etc etc.
She is now hiding in the dining room behind my stash of walnuts. She has had some treats though, and I'll just leave her to decompress. I suspect she'll come out and explore the house once the humans have gone to bed.
Now sat down by the fire with aand about to turn on the early evening news.

Oh how lovely - the "Winter Wonderland" is up and running in Nottingham. And I have to pass through it multiple times today, tomorrow and next Monday and Tuesday. And I guess Leeds will be the same in the first week of December.
Bah Humbug.
Best of luck with the new arrival and I hope you meet her approval
As for the late running Gresley, I don't think anything has run on time on that line all day.

nothing new or fantastic, a D90 body. it will replace my D100 eek! got that from my last employer.
it was getting unreliable. it is old & beat up
I went mirrorless with a bridge camera for my kids HS graduations & its wonderful for all kinds of things but too many menus. nice to use a regular SLR sometimes. the flash I got for the D90 is a pre-owned, like new, Nikon SB-900. I'm pretty excited about that!
the other camera I use a lot is Lumix DMZ-FZ70, w/ a 20-1200 zoom. perfect for graduations
but I can't compete with some folks around here, in the "your day's wildlife" thread. some of those bird photos & others, incl. closeups are so great & sharp
