I have my 'drive' back and our cars are parked on it. There are just two cars at ours currently - hurray !

Son has finally fixed both his cars (one is a track car) and they are at a track meeting for a couple of days. The gazebo is down, the drive jet washed of mud and car fluids. There are no cars parked outside our house other than the two on the drive. We had 'six' at one point earlier this year - our two, son's two, a car my son was repairing for sale, and our spare Aygo. I'm so happy. Since January, we've only had use of the drive for a maximum of two months due to various broken cars being on the drive.

8 and sunny at lunchtime. Afternoon of work visits just completed, dark and 3.
A good few cyclists about initially including a fully occupied tandem.
A strange wiff filled the car, yes I had trod on dog s***. Thankfully the next stop was adjacent a village green; shoe dragged scross it and a bundle of leaves appeared to deal with the offensive substance on the car mat.
Annoyingly had a farm to go to, down a pretty muddy lane. Car now in need of blasting with a hose pipe, um maybe sometime next year?
Heading west over the moor to Pateley was interesting with a low sun, fortunately had a vehicle on front to follow amongst the glare.

I remember treading in dog poo was a regular hazard when walking to school in the 80's. Am I the only one who remembers that?. Thankfully, it's now a rare occurrence.

It's been a bright and sunny, but rather chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well, but still feel tired and below par. Face is a bit numb from the snot burden, but at least it's now draining. Still chesty and sneezy. I also have a whacking great big sore on my top lip.

That said, I had a gentle but still busy morning. Re-stocked the fruit bowls and the bread bin, took the unneeded fridgeables from the kitchen to the utility room, did a bit of tidying up in there. All the upstairs windows were not steamed up this morning - except for the one in the bathroom. The fix in there has helped, but it looks like the frame itself is warped - the downside of living in a winky wonky little house. I have effected a temporary measure of bracing the sash against the frame using wedges, and then covering the remaining gaps with duck tape. Hopefully issue solved.

Lovely luncheon of a gammon sandwich, a persimmon, a small apple and a :cuppa:

Again, a gentle but busy afternoon. Hauled in some more downed branches to cut up for firewood, and spotted another couple of downed trees. One is dingle dangling, but the other is all the way down. That said, both should be easy enough to deal with. Also topped up all the firewood bins in the house, scooped the litter trays and went to Littleport to pick up mum's prescription.

Madam Ruby has been hiding today - I think she frightened herself by tipping over a large basket of walnuts during her nocturnal explorations. There were walnuts *everywhere* this morning...
