Madam Ruby has been hiding today - I think she frightened herself by tipping over a large basket of walnuts during her nocturnal explorations. There were walnuts *everywhere* this morning...

Time for the evening's hot chocolate and yet another aspirin for the cold. Hopefully over the worst of it as the coughing fits have mostly subsided and the nose is running more like a stream than a river.

Lovely supper of soup, then gammon, gravy, roasties and steamed savoy cabbage.

A bit of a change in the weather today, suddenly more winter like. Pretty cold and breezy all day.

I made it to the shop and back after work in the dry and was half thinking about a bike ride but when I looked out a little while later, it was pouring rain.

I tidied up my bedroom instead.

I had planned to make a large pot of vegetable soup, like I often do at this time of the year, but there were no leeks, carrots and only a few very knackered looking onions.

The boyracers are very active tonight.

I just watched the Scotland vs Denmark game. Some excellent Scotland goals to finish top in their group. Right, I'm now off over to Channel 4 to stream something on their Walter Presents page.

I see in the local rag that someone that bullied me a lot at school has been given three years inside for attacking someone. Apparently he has 19 previous convictions.

Am tucked up in bed, with a mug of tea, the laptop and a hot water bottle for my feetsies. Time to do some writing.

Madam Rhubarb was here briefly for fusses.

I've just woken up after nodding off for a bit. Time to have a nice hot bath and trot off back to bed.

Go off peak like me!
Plenty of space and no crowds. Might be a bit quiet though!
