Quite a large group of us turned up for today's ride. 11 peeps. I thought that a few wouldn't turn up due to the weather. It was still freezing as we set off but the sun was up and warming things up. We found one area of sheet ice where we had to dismount and walk carefully over it. Once past that it was fine. I haven't worked out the mileage yet but I think it might be about 16 miles.

Back home after an interesting day having my first dose of chemotherapy.
Plus side was getting a lift from husband of a very close friend of Mrs 73. Who is heavily involved in Yorkshire cricket so spent most of the journey both ways. Talking about all things Yorkshire cricket and a few things I've been helping with.

An occasionally bright, somewhat blustery and bloody cold day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Jimjams are cosy. I'm still chesty and somewhat run down, so I've had a quiet day, simply doing all the necessaries, but no more. Morning tasks involved household chores like scooping the litter trays and emptying the ash from the grate.

Lovely luncheon of wholemeal toast, stilton, double gloucester with onion & chive (really lovely, would recommend), plus an apple, a pear and the obligatory :cuppa:

This afternoon's tasks involved topping up the firewood bins in the house, sweeping up the sawdust from under the saw horse, and insulating / covering the garden tap.

The rest of the afternoon has been spent sitting by the fire and watching TV / writing.

Madam Rhubarb has discovered the igloo bed next to the radiator in the dining room. She's becoming much more confident and spending time with us, and we're beginning to see the fabby cat she will become. Her coat is now much softer (she LOVES being brushed), and she has put on weight - her vertebrae are now no longer prominent. So yeah, more little wins.

Glad to see you back among the Mundaners xxx :hugs:

Rose early after windy night( outside)! Early ferry, back in England before most people were aware.

Cleaned up, emptied van, washing machine fired up.
Vanessa back at hers and shopping shopped.

Culinary catastrophe for the evening meal.
Must get a grip and make a shopping list to avoid gaps and duplication.

No bacon and now 3 jars of gherkins!
