Morning.
It has brightened up a bit. It was dull and raining earlier but we now have light grey.
I have heard the results of the GP. BBC radio announced it without saying "look away now!"

Good morning from a very wet and very windy Suffolk. Coffee has been had.
Don't think I'll be doing anything of any consequence until later on today, and only then if it dries up.
I've had a quick read of the race report to see if it's worth watching later on, but I think I'll make do with listening to a re-run from Radio 5 Live while the grotty weather persists this morning.

That was well done. I just read your ride/ trip / adventure! 100 miles a day on a bike! Doing that in my car day after day would get a visit from the fairies. I wouldn't know where to start. Oh possibly Lands End of Jon O' Groats!

Grim out. Dropped daughter off at her boyfriends then picked up flowers for my sister's wedding anniversary. Prepped Sunday roast of chicken, roast baby spuds, yorkies, cauliflower cheese, tender stem broccoli, sugar snap peas and a few sprouts. Gravy is cooking in the soup machine.
Aching all over still from replacing the laminate flooring in the conservatory.

Yesterday sun has turned up a day late at times but so has the predicted rain, often quite heavy.
Today's DIY task ended up with another trip to B&Q. Had bought a pack of vinyl floor tiles yesterday to replace damaged ones in the kitchen. It is partly 'timber planked' and partly 'stone' which makes replacing any simple as any tonal mismatch is natural looking.
Two of the 'timber planks' fit slightly under a store cupboard that is of the cheapest white coated chipboard that easilly is damaged. One plank came away without any problem but the another caused the recessed plinth to flake.
Length of white finished timber bought, cut to size and tape stuck in place.
Tesco still looks a building site so I doubt the prdicted opening the end of the coming week will occur.

Afternoon Lidl shop, only went for three things and did only buy three. One purchase however was a centre isle 24cm frying pan. Dark chocolate rice cakes being the missing intended purchase.
Current 24cm frying pan put in the metal recycling bag, has a loose handle and looks awful.

A dry and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit with a brisk westerly breeze that made things feel quite raw.
Sleep was a mixed bag. Couldn't drop off, so ended up listening to the F1, but dozed off after the start and only woke up with just a handful of laps from the end. And then I dropped off again, but not terribly deeply as I was too hot! Those pyjamas I bought in B&M are SO warm that I had to ditch the hot water bottle.
For £9, I'd recommend them if someone fancies a new pair of jimjams and doesn't want to break the bank.
Had a gentle morning catching up on the basic chores. Nice to have a quiet day for the most part. The only other task I've done today is making a pot of soup using some of the dry-aged beef scraps I picked up in Waitrose yesterday. What I didn't use has gone in the freezer.
Lovely luncheon of a gammon sandwich, an apple, a banana and a
