Time to put my feet up with a coffee for about an hour.

The rain radar appeared to be clear for the rest of the afternoon so I put the washing out to dry on the whirlygig - most of it was fleece tops which dry fairly quickly anyhow. Then I went out and polished the car as the stuff I use says it can be applied with a damp cloth, so a damp car made no difference. The outside windows of the car also had glass cleaner applied. Not wanting to waste the rest of a lovely sunny and cold afternoon I've also done the 4 mile version of my 1 hour walk.

A very busy day when I'd got a quiet one planned.

Afternoon hot chocolate went down well.
Swmbo is trying out different hair styles....

Phew! That was a struggle! My friend and I managed to get my seized seat post out. One of us twisting the frame whilst the other pushed upwards whilst it was held in a vice. Boiling water was poured onto the frame to try to expand it. It worked but it was a lot of twisting back and forth. The post was burried 6 inches down in the frame. After looking down inside the frame I could see corrosion below where the post had been.

It's been a bright, mostly sunny and slightly chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well. Usual morning chores were done (clean the grate, scoop the trays, rejig fridges & fruit bowls etc), and then off into the garden with the chain saw to cut up another load of logs. I also moved some stuff in the garage so I could use the trailer as a log store.

Lovely luncheon of a chicken sandwich, a persimmon and a :cuppa:

Then back out into the garden with the wheelbarrow to haul in what I cut this morning. It was definitely woolly hat and glove liner territory - when rigger gloves get wet, they're sooooo cold to wear. Wood bins in the house were also topped up.

Madam Rhubarb did not enjoy the sight of me in a woolly hat - she ran away and hid! Whoops!

Now sat by the fire with a :cuppa: and watching the early evening news.

Morning work visit in town was sunny and chilly.
Tesco opening confirmed as delayed, the A59 is now meant to reopen fully next week but in the meantime its having a total closure most evenings.
Tomorrows non prime Amazon delivery arrived this afternoon.
The new floor tiles really show the old ones up. Was going to get an extra strong vinyl cleaner fron Screwfix but it was cheaper in Amazons Black Friday sale. An accompanying brush, a new bathroom floor mat and, to trigger free delivery, a £2.67 pack of batteries.
One existing bathroom mat binned, the non slip base was all breaking up.
