I enjoy boats and seem to thrive on it when it's rough. I sometimes think I should have gone to sea.
If you don't like a rough sea, don't sail Ballycastle to Campbeltown!
We've only had 2 boat rides that's been rough. The 1st was a tour company boat trip on our honeymoon in Tunisia on a replica African sailing ship. When we arrived it was totally rough sea even in the harbour, no way anyone would even think it was a good idea. But no off we went and slowly it got worse and worse. Then the food came round grilled fish and bread , Me and Mrs 73 had already had some sickness meds. knowing eating something is better than nothing. We played save and just had the bread, so onward went the boat and more people started to look even more green. In the end they finally turned back. That was not the end of it , once back on the bus the souvenir photographer gate crashed the bus. Trying to get the money for the photos, it all got a bit hairy. We'd known from the day one our rep was totally crap, it turned out she spoke only French and no Arabic. Lucky a young local lad was with us training to be a rep, who was Egyptian so even though he only spoke Egyptian Arabic managed to sort it all out all.
Days before Mrs 73 had fixed up a kids badly cut foot he got from playing on the beach. So some found out she was a nurse, so later in the evening we got a few people calling for sickness med.
The 2rd one as not that rough just a bit choppy boat ride at Whitby , it was clear it was a bit rough but Mrs 73 said lets go. We'd been with them before and they are really nice set of guys. So on we got she made a bee line for near the front , I pointed out the big wet line just in front of us, showing the chance we'd get a bit wet. We still had Charlie who sensing it was not a good idea, shot under the seats for cover. So off we went and other than getting a nice bit a sea spray we got though it and had a good laugh. What made it really enjoyable was a day the dolphins came calling so got watch them along the way.
