Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Right big day for us today
Think I will go for a walk
Looks dark outside

Wedding?
Bar mitzvah?
Operation?
Funeral?

Either way I hope it goes well.

Similarly we've a legal meeting. Not sure it'll go even a bit of the way SWMBO hopes.

Good morning from Suffolk where, after a bit of a foggy start, it's now a bright & sunny morning which has been enhanced by a very good first coffee of the day.

This morning's activity involves food & drink shopping for the next few days, leaving the afternoon free for getting out and about as it looks to be staying dry for the daylight hours.

Listening to a radio show on the Dickens novel A Christmas Carol, it occurred to me his life story might be an interesting film.

I've just had my shingles booster and I've stopped off for a coffee in yet another coffee shop on the way home. There's a man outside who's just filled his boot, back seat and front passenger seat with containers of Quality Street and Celebrations, and on the radio someone's driving home for Christmas. Must have had a mobile recording truck.

Maz is going to Leicester Guildhall where Dickens great great grandson Gerald Charles (an actor) is reading 'A Christmas Carol' next week, he has performed this all over the world to great critical acclaim but to read it in the historic (14th Century) Guildhall with its superb acoustics is something special.

He was right sod to his wife even built a brick wall down the middle of the bedroom. Not a great family man really either. Griff Rhys Jones did a great program on the BBC, Charles Dickens and the invention of Christmas a few years ago.
