One Boxing Day job that's a yearly thing, is retrieving from the safe air drying place. Of an out of the way Conner of work top behind the biscuit barrel. A pair of cut glass champagne flutes which are now safely packed away in the box. Ready to put in away with the other Christmas table things later in the week. We got the over 20 years ago from a patient of Mrs 73 the year we got married. They come out every year for our Christmas day breakfast and dinner buck fizz.

I escaped for a thirty mile ride in the evening. I suffered an unscheduled deflation about three miles from base.

I did think about fixing it but it was pitch dark on an unlit road and sub zero temperatures so I just walked the bike home. I'll sort it out in the morning.

I once drove to a forest for some late afternoon cycling fun. it was an hour's drive. got 3 flats due to a broken wire bead. didn't get more than a mile or two from my car. had to hitch a ride back to my car, not long before the sun went down. drove another hour home after only riding a mile or two. some days are just a wash

I think I've had a bit too much fresh air as I nodded off for an hour while sat in the armchair this afternoon. Most unusual as it wasn't reclined and I normally only drop of for 15-20 minutes when sat in the chair.

Tea was a couple of slices of leftover turkey from yesterday and chips followed by a mug of coffee, some chocolate coins and a KitKat Santa.

If you find any more, lob them over the Irish Sea in this direction as I love them. Every year at work people used to bring in the leftover chocolates that nobody at home ate, and I was the only one to scoff the coffee creams - when I retired one of the parting gifts was a kilo tub of them as a joke.
