Puncture fixed, and the realisation that my tyre is wearing a bit thin! Time to blow the moths out of the wallet.

I don't think today is a cycling day all the same. Too much of an ice risk at this point. Christmas evening was fine as the roads were dry, yesterday was mostly okay but caution was needed in places. It hasn't stopped freezing at all today. It can only be worse. I don't need any more broken legs, thank you very much. There will be warmer days.

Trip into town walked and three bottles of squash purchased which is a lot of weight that I won't need to carry on Sunday's bigger shop. No reductions on chocolate, but it was just a small Tesco.

One little bonus was remembering that I had a code for a free hot drink from Greggs so that was cashed in for a hot chocolate for the walk home.

Its now a breezy and grey afternoon and I'm having a small coffee while waiting for my sister to let me know they're on their way to Mum's.

Happy Anniversary @Gwylan

Gammon went down well yesterday then it was return dad to Nottingham today. The A1 exit for the M18 was chaos so a relaxing drive down the A614 instead.
Had to fiddle with his combi boiler to get it to work and then got completely confused with the remote control temperature control. Eventually got it so that he shouldn't be setting it to its manual override everyday.
Thence back via the M1 M621 Leeds and A61 for a Waitrose shop en route and a free Bonne Mamma Blackcurrant Conserve.

It's been a raw and drizzly day here chez Casa Reynard, after a very frosty start.

Slept well enough considering I had to make trips to the little girls' room during the night to deal with lady issues. The usual choresy morning was had. I also managed to squeeze in a bit of lumberjilling, which resulted in two heaped wheelbarrows of cut logs being stashed in the garage. I ache all over now, given it's been nearly three weeks since I last did any.

Lovely luncheon of rye bread, home made chicken liver pate, an apple, a pear, some walnuts and a :cuppa:

Then sat down to listen to Arsenal v Brighton. Could've gone better, but at least that's another three points in the bag. Had a lovely :cuppa: with a mini stollen bite and some medjool dates whilst listening.

My main upcoming task this evening is dismembering and roasting a pumpkin that I bought a while back. It's starting to deteriorate around the stalk, so best to deal with it before language skills are developed.
