As cold as it was in the breeze today I wasn't going to spend the afternoon indoors with all the sunshine, so I put on a warm coat and went out for another hour for a walk while listening to a podcast. I have also copied over the family birthdays from the 2025 calendar to the 2026 one which was delivered today and added in the known away days for the year so far.
While going through the 2025 calendar I was struck by how many away days were shown on it, so I've been through the list and counted 38 nights away of which 36 were for gigs, one for a race meeting and one just for a night's break to round off my birthday weekend.
The evening's hot chocolate has been had and I've no intention of getting up too early on Saturday so I think it's time for a cold beer.

It's been a bright, breezy and chilly day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well enough. Had a busy and choresy morning - doing all the usual stuff, and then getting ahead some as I'm stewarding at a cat show tomorrow. Also had some kitchen time and ironed my white coat.
Luncheon of toast, pont l'eveque cheese, a tangerine, a banana and a
Put the last bits of YS stuff into the freezer and topped up all the wood bins in the house. Brought in an extra bin of logs, as I don't want to be furkling in the dark tomorrow. Also changed the dressing on my leg. It's all scabbed over now, and I'd imagine the stitches will finally come out on Tuesday.
Lovely supper of thai-spiced pumpkin & red lentil soup, then parsnip, pumpkin & sweet potato tikka masala, basmati rice and braised red cabbage.
All that's left to do is pack my stuff for tomorrow and wash my hair.
