That's the freezer done- just got to wait for it to get back down to the correct temperature before reloading. Meanwhile the towels used to soak up the melted ice have been put on to wash and I'm having a coffee.

Well slowly feeling more human ,so a steady morning and a need for fresh air. I made it to town and back fancied some fish cakes only to find Iceland. Had only the Youngs cheep one which are cost way more than own brand and not as nice. But they went down well enough for my dinner. Then moving a few things round in the freezer has meant the rest of the mincepies all fitted in. Trying up the pantry food selves Checked the multi pack of crips taking up way to much room. Only two was left on putting out the last packet only to find it had been sealed int the outer bag and ripped it open. Just tried them looks like it's been open long before I pulled it out soft is not the word.

SWMBO had a snooze. I could hear her 'snoozing' whilst I repaired the microwave door handle ... diagonally across the house.

Nice bit of snow today in Norwich, so walked in rather than bike; too many drivers about clearly lacking confidence in the conditions.
What did 'amuse' me were the number of folk about just shod in trainers or similar smooth soles footwear and wondering why they were slipping and sliding all over the place - !
I'm aware that budget trainers is all some folk can afford, but it was pretty obvious that others were putting fashion before practicality.

Once the freezer was back down to temperature and everything had been reloaded I went out for a 75 minute walk in the continuing sunshine. According to Strava the 'feels like' temperature was -5°C thanks to the wind. At least we've not had any snow other than one very brief flurry late morning.

As the forecast is for yet more sub-zero temperature overnight, it looks like I'm not going out until very late morning at the earliest on Sunday.

It's been a brrrrrright and chhhhhhhillllllllly day here chez Casa Reynard.

Slept well enough for a night before the show. Had to scrape a thick layer of ice off my car this morning prior to departing - the friend I normally travel with was poorly, so made my way to Ware under my own steam. Had to stop for fuel first - which was in the opposite direction of where I had to go LOL! My black car is now a fetching shade of salty grey.

Had a lovely day stewarding in the Household Pet section. This show hall can get SO cold though, so the decision to put the thermal cycling base layers on underneath usual clothes was well justified. Ended up looking like Mrs Bibendum, but I'd rather be warm.

Was home by half past five, so listened to Bournemouth v Arsenal, then had an early supper as I was a bit hungry. After, I took a portion of curry to the above friend, so that she didn't have to cook. She looked really rough after spending the night in A&E. Hopefully she'll feel a lot better after a change in her meds for a chronic issue.

I'm now sat in my onesie and fluffy pink socks, the fire is crackling away merrily, and I have a :cuppa: while watching MOTD.
