It's thawing here but the pavements are still lethal in places on this morning's perambulation.

Frozen solid here and we've had a few icy snow showers since about 7am.

In one , yesterday was ok but a long day as they run over 1 hour late as one machine was out of action. Then they gave me a new list of the other times which means some have changed. So new planning re travel and just who can take me and when needs a rethink.

Good morning from bitterly cold Suffolk - at 08:00 it was still -5.5C (22F) in my back garden. The sunshine is just about breaking through the thin, high cloud so it doesn't look like it's going to warm up much for a while.

Coffee has been had while trying to keep warm and a bowl of porridge will shortly be nuked for internal heating.

There's a very heavy frost this morning. The very light wind is now blowing from the west/southwest and there are some high clouds coming over. I guess that there must be more moisture in the air now the northerly has given way, though the temperature hasn't got above 0C yet.

Mundane this is.My old Accurist watch is playing up.The day and date won't match up,i must have knocked it somehow.The date is always just behind the day,i have tried to line them up but one jumps ahead,it's doing my ocd head in.

It's surprising how quickly you can shower when the bathroom is cold.
