It's been a grey, raw and damp day here chez Casa Reynard after a frosty start.

Lovely luncheon of a crusty white roll, the last of the pickled herrings, some cheese, an apple, a banana and a
Added the sugar to the chutney mix, and had it simmering for a few hours. As it's a large quantity, it will take a while to do. It's already thickened some, but have turned it off and will finish the process tomorrow. It's got to the point where I need to keep a closer eye on it to avoid it catching on the bottom of the pan.
Roasted off the remaining half of the big pumpkin. I had it in my hallway wrapped in cling film. And it had frozen, which made life a little interesting. Anyways, the flesh has been turned into soup, the seeds have been cleaned and are ready for roasting, and the skin is in the bucket with the other fruit & veg peelings. I'll put them in the green bin tomorrow.
I had planned on going to Tesco, but when I went out to top up the firewood at 4pm, my car was already glazed over with ice, and it was trying to sleet / snow / whatever. The only thing I've run out of is plain yoghurt, but that's no biggie. I have no desire to go out on what is probably sheets of black ice.
Anyways, time to feed the cat, and then it will be time to feed me.
