as-in, do you listen to the radio?

I would have liked to reply along those lines, but could not think quickly enough.
It was the window cleaner who asked me that. I had not seen him for a while, and wanted to explain why, so told him about my cancer diagnosis.

What could I say? "At night I glow in the dark."
Or "Yes, my cats now have eighteen half lives."

If someone asks me if I smoke, my response is, "No, I just go curly at the edges."

I'm not often clever, so maybe just a smile would do?

I was asked yesterday if I was "radio-active".

Mixing chemo up with radiotherapy was he ? I've heard a few patients do the same thing and the nurse having other explain it not like that.
The only time I've been radioactive for a a few hours after was when I had a PET scan which users radioactive contrast. For the rest of the day your asked to stay away from really young kids and anyone really ill.

Oh well that didn't go down well.

MrsF has mentioned why don't I go bike packing a bit more, and a few months ago mentioned I'd like a new bike for that. Happened to mention it last night, bad mistake. She was like' well I bet you've already got one'. I said, I was considering a "bike to work" one.

Given she's been to Croatia, Scotland, Anglesey and now Iceland on swimming holidays, I don't think a bike is that expensive... and the fact that I am the only earner in the house ?

That scenario looks and sounds and feels very familiar.

It's been a mild and soggy day here chez Casa Reynard.

Did not sleep well. Was way too warm at one point, and my back was not enjoying things. So not only did I oversleep, I have navigated today feeling somewhat tired and grumpy. The morning was spent doing all the basic chores, plus I wrapped the bread I bought yesterday and put it in the utility room where it's way cooler.

Had a lovely luncheon of a chunk of Melton Mowbray pork pie (Tesco own-brand, not quite up to the Dickinsons & Morris one), toast, the last of the festive chicken liver pate (yeah, it was quite a large block I made), plus an apple, a tangerine and a :cuppa:

Spent the afternoon tackling the backlog of laundry. I mustn't forget to fill up the soap tub in the bathroom, as it is now empty. Thank goodness for the bottle of liquid soap flakes. It's still one from Wilkinsons, as they were one of rare places that stock it. Does any one know where I can find some more, as I only have one bottle remaining?

Replaced the dressing on my leg. After five weeks, I finally have a stable scab over the hole, and the alarming shade of red my skin had gone the other night has now mostly faded away. Another appointment with the nurse on Friday, I hope she'll finally sign me off.

Just had a :cuppa: while watching the evening news. Now it's time to go and furkle in the kitchen.

Oh yes, and Madam Boo had a fine time unravelling mum's latest crochet project whilst we were taking luncheon. Whoops!
