Got all the proper kit. I've close to two decades' worth of experience of working with chainsaws.

And I've a PhD in mechanical engineering, so got a good understanding of how forces are applied / distributed. A bit out of practice with the maths side of things, but the visualisation is still good.

I have finally talked myself out of the trip to Nottingham I was thinking of booking yesterday. Instead I'm going to Manchester Albert Hall in June to see a different artist. The cost of the Travelodge for the night plus cooked breakfast was less than the gig ticket with booking fees!

The evening's hot chocolate has long been had and I'm on the point of falling asleep in the armchair, so an early night looks to be in prospect.
