I have finally talked myself out of the trip to Nottingham I was thinking of booking yesterday. Instead I'm going to Manchester Albert Hall in June to see a different artist. The cost of the Travelodge for the night plus cooked breakfast was less than the gig ticket with booking fees!
The evening's hot chocolate has long been had and I'm on the point of falling asleep in the armchair, so an early night looks to be in prospect.

Time for a ride
It's been a chilly but pleasant enough day here chez Casa Reynard after a somewhat frosty start.
Sleep was middling. Kept on waking up for some reason, and then slept through the alarm. Only just made it to meeting up with a friend for our usual dog walk. I also got delayed stuck behind a large tractor and trailer shifting a muck heap. The smell was, well, pungent, and the cargo was steaming in the morning chill. It was my first dog walk for five weeks, and I really enjoyed it. Stopped off at the book exchange on the way home, and picked up a sci-fi novel, a book on Lancaster bombers and two cook books.
Went out lumberjilling when I got home, carrying on clearing up that big ash tree that's fainted. All the small branches have been done, and I am now dealing with stuff that's eight inches and bigger. Two more branches, and then I'll be tackling the main stem.
Had a lovely luncheon of a chunk of melton mowbray pork pie, and then toast with some posh cheese from one of the festive selections I bought, an apple, a tangerine and a
Then a quick fizz through the chores before going back out to haul in the wood that I cut up prior to luncheon. I had four heaped wheelbarrows, so definitely had a good workout.
Now I'm sat by the fire with aand watching the early evening news.
Mention of the Lancaster reminds me of a challenge that got set to build one from start to finish and take off in 24 hours. The whole thing being filmed in true newsreel fashion. A good 15 years ago channel 4 did a program in the way they really only do. That told the story getting together the surviving workers from the film. Mixing interviews with the film of the time then getting them all together. In a cinema to sit and watch the original footage it's a really is a fascinating story.

Can you remember playing Mummies and Daddies when you were a kid?
Leaving home in the morning you would set off up the garden path on your scooter or tricycle, turn round and set off for home again to be greeted by a lovely cooked meal! Mud pie and 2 dock leaves!
You have just had a hard day at work and to be greeted by this!

Good morning from Suffolk basking under traditional grey skies. Coffee has been had.
It looks wetter underfoot outside than the amount of rain last evening would suggest while the next big blob of wet stuff isn't far off so I'm not going to be doing very much today.
The 08:58 Ipswich-Felixstowe train has just gone past - over half an hour late on a journey of just over 20 minutes.
