A horrible wet day here. Business as usual on the weather front after a nice weekend.

First working day of the week completed; a load of nonsense as usual.

I gave in and bought a new brush after work, complete with new handle as I couldn't seem to buy just the head. I won't win the Trigger award for keeping the same brush for fourteen years.

I see a 1961 Hellman Minks for sale on the local Facebook marketplace. I'm not familiar with that model but it looks very similar to a Hillman Minx...

Exercise class day, book ticket on train, PayPal for the lesson and get going.
Weather looks OK, I may cycle back home after the class.

Well I did cycle home. 30km. Really beautiful ride along the coast. Then blew away all the good work by getting a lunch at 'spoons

The evening's hot chocolate has been had. A bit late in drinking as I made it, got distracted and then had to re-nuke it as it had gone cold.

Lovely supper of scotch broth, then avocado and roast tomatoes on toast, with a fried egg plonked on top, and a few leftover bits on the side (pasta with beef ragu, plus some carrots and sprouts).

Such a shame the evening is so cloudy, as it's a good night for the Aurora. I did go out - the clouds are a funny shade of grey, but my phone picks up the green and the pink haze. If the sky were clear, it'd be amazing out there.

A Melton Mowbray pork pie with a bit of Stilton compliments each other perfectly.

I have a kilo of stilton in the fridge. Only a quarter of a pork pie left though.

But I'll be taking out a chunk of aforementioned cheese to cook with tomorrow, so I'll give it a go.

Time to bank the fire for the night and hobble off upstairs to bed.

I went out and caught fish and chips last night. We were both tired after decorating. I don't mind as I like fish and chips. Georgie likes it as well.

Good morning all, a dark and cloudy morning, not light yet. Missed the aurora last night, looked out for it about 10 o’clock but judging from all the millions of posts on FB that was about an hour too late. Oh well…
