This is a long thread isn't it?

(how's that for mundane? ;) )

A mild, bright and sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, but with a very cold and brisk westerly.

Slept really well again, and had a nice lie in. And other than the very basic of chores, I have done very little. Other than writing. It's nice just to be able to sit down to write - especially when you're having fun with your characters.

Lovely luncheon of a tuna, sweetcorn & mayo sandwich, an apple, a pear and a :cuppa:

Now watching the ice hockey.

Path at side of garage cleaned and cleared of any mud - so we can avoid walking on the grass now it's been seeded. Tidied up/disposed of some old plastic planters that are past their best. Moved onto waxing the van.

Brother arrived, so got him to pop the car on some wooden ramps my son made - slid under the car and there is a leak from the plastic sump seals/the sump plug (or both). Difficulty is it's been there ages, and certainly wasn't mentioned at the service in October. I'm suspecting a long time TBH, as the undertray is a 'fabric' type material and it's filthy with dirty oil. Problem with small oil leaks, is they spread with driving, so it goes all over. Above the sump area is dry though. Oil level still at maximum. My brother has only noticed as there is a drip on the drive. I suspect it's not too bad, but needs looking at as it looked like one of the sump bolts was missing.

Finished waxing the van, then cleaned the commuter bike, picked up daughter, prepared Sunday lunch, now time for Episode 8 of Star Wars.

PS I apologise, it's going to rain now !

:hello: From Leeds where the second pint is about to be ordered and then it's off to the hotel to book in and have a shower. Hopefully there'll be enough time for a quick snooze before I walk up to The Brudenell.

What's up with all the funfair tat in the city centre - is it a half term thing or did they set it up deliberately to annoy me?

Lovely sunny dry day spent at The Royal Observatory, Greenwich more to see than you think. So much high end world leading scientific craftsmanship to marvel over. Sadly due to the wind being too strong the 1pm time ball was having a day off.

Only issue was finding out DLR was not running once we’d got to our planned start point. So ended up having to go on DLR the long way via Stratford station once we’d found our way round it. Who designed the layout? The flow is so bad and a right miss mash.

Having seemingly been feeding an increasingly large flock of pigeons using my basic wooden bird table - who've taken to roosting on neighbouring rooftops - a proper bird feeding station arrived today. It's now set up, with a large selection of pigeon-proof feeders and trays.

The pigeon collective are not happy.

On another note the hedgehog hibernating in the hedgehog house has survived the winter, as evidenced by flesh hedgehog poo.
