A rough couple of days here chez Casa Reynard, since as of yesterday, we are down to one human and one cat.

Have replaced one lot of stress for another, but my friend Linda, who I go walking with, and to cat shows with, has been an absolute star. Now I need to find out who I am, now that I'm no longer a carer.

Just have to take things one step at a time. Having a bit of a self-care day here today.

RIP. Best wishes.

About fifty odd miles completed today using a different route and a different bridle path through the national park. One unscheduled deflation to report, but I was so close to home and it was getting darked so I walked the last half mile or so.

My cycle computer has gone somewhat crazy. I suspect the battery is probably knackered and causing it to malfunction. I think my speed flashing up at 555 may have been a tad optimistic! I must replace the battery. It will be sad to lose the odometer reading of the 14,000 odd miles I've covered in the bike since I re-invented it as a touring bike.

I had chicken and chips and now relaxing, and trying to pretend that work doesn't exist in the morning!

Thanks folks. And all hugs gratefully received.

I have had a quiet day. I am in limbo as to the formalities until the paperwork comes back from the coroner, so I have a couple of days respite before tackling all that. One step at the time, I think.

Spent the afternoon with Linda, her cats and the dogs, which was nice. I then watched the coverage from Crufts. Was hoping that the Miniature Schnauzer would win, but the two dogs that did go up were nice, and I'm glad they did well.
