According to AI...

That unique distinction belongs to Halesworth railway station on the East Suffolk Line.

While several stations in Suffolk have a level crossing at one end of the platform (like Westerfield or Stowmarket), Halesworth historically featured a setup so constrained by space that it required a very unusual engineering solution.

👍

Another case of AI hallucinations - Halesworth only has a foot crossing at the southern end of the station.

I'm now going to have to keep an eye on the podcast mentioned by @Speicher for the answer

The recycling bin has also been emptied and needs to be retrieved and moved back to its normal resting place.

Could be a trick question do they mean working ones or have evidence of one ? Wikipedia says Halesworth had two , one being very different as the trackbed moved out the way. That level crossing is now closed but still visible at the end of the platform.

May I ask another question?

Greg James is doing a challenge to raise funds for Comic Relief. Setting aside any opinions you may have about Comic Relief, who is paying for the Police escort, including eight (I think) motorcycle out-riders and two vehicles?

Contact report: Hover Fly of this forum has been attacked by a swan, more news to follow.

I was walking along the canal, minding my own business, when I noticed a local cob eying me up, I averted My gaze and went on my way, but a few seconds late the swan was flying past me, having just taken off, it then did an u-turn and flew straight at me, I dodged its beak, but he gave me a good hard thwack across my chest with his wing. Nothing broken, but gorgeous red and purple bruises.

Just waiting for the rain to start as the radar show's it not far off.

Everything needing to be done has been done for another week or so which is good as I'm planning on having a couple of days out this week and there's a couple of away days next week. In addition to all the regular domestics I've finally changed the shower curtain as I don't think the washing machine on a hot wash would remove the limescale stains this time.

The homebound train ticket & bike reservation have also been picked up ready for Tuesday. I'll sort the outbound ticket in the morning when I decide which of the two start points I'm going to.
