God morning from Suffolk where the clear blue skies and sunshine continues. Coffee has been had and it feels like my cold has mostly cleared.

An unexpected cash bonus this morning - I had submitted a delay repay claim for this problem which was rejected (as expected) due to the originally booked train running on time, and then appealed it cross referencing the original delay and it's just been approved! That'll pay for this afternoon's train home.

Breakfast next and then to decide which bike to use when I set off in about an hour.

I have dug my Fausto Coppi bike out and put on my Fausto Coppi Spiderman outfit on. How does Superman get changed so quickly and even in a phone box? That quick dash to the loo isn't!

Sunny but noticeably not as warm as yesterday.

Chain eventually refitted to the road bike after cleaning the almost forgot sockets.
Waxed lube then applied using an old spoke. Had to hunt for it and eventually found it upside down and had leaked. The thuck lube thus being an advantage as it was recoverable. Requires a 20 sec spin of the chain, excess wiped off and then left for 4 hours.
Needs a new chain stay protector; length of clear tape.

From Bury St. Edmunds after a lovely 40 something mile ride in some lovely conditions. I could probably have got away with shorts and a lighter top, but I prefer to be warm rather than cold.

A couple of drinks in the sunshine, then it's off to the train station for home. Might as well make the most of this good weather after the miserableness that was January and February.

2.8 mile afternoon trek to Aldi to dispose of plastic bags and a light shop; in fact lighter than intended as normal orange squash was absent. Encountered plainly a new Aldi shopper when I was asked outside do they have baskets.
Made use of the steep bridleway on the return, the muddy bit now having a dry edge.
