just watched this animation of the Artemis II mission. wow, there are a lot of things that need to go right. lots of "separations", maneuvers & machine actions that must all execute perfectly & on time. unexpected reminder how truly alone & on their own, they will be

good thing the orange idiot has nothing to do with it

At least they have company , Michael Collins was truly alone for 30 orbits of the moon or around 76 hours. Every time he past round to the dark side of the moon he was totally cut off from everyone for 48 mins.

are clothes dryers frowned upon over there? personal choice? please excuse my ignorance

Drying outside is my preferred (and cheapest) option, but often the weather is too wet so I have to use a dryer.

Hanging damp stuff on a clothes horse in front of the fire, as my mother used to do, is not acceptable. I find the smell and inconvenience extremely annoying.

Day started with a BT at the hospital for an appointment on Tuesday only to get a message this afternoon that it was now the 23rd.
Work visits this afternoon and rare out and back along the same route.
Post work lawns cut. The strimmer was missing its plastic cutter, new one fitted only lasted two sides of the rear lawn before it split on one of its fixing holes. Hopefully the new new one lasts longer.
