It is light grey out but dry.
I've had a bad week with the fairies. Slept most of it. Missed out on a group ride as I couldn't have managed it and also had to conserve energy so that I could take my wife to Swindon to get her eyes checked. I blame it on going to the tip on Monday. Must have overdone it.

I need to build up some energy as it seems like my brother's Holdsworth Monsoon frame is approaching a state where it needs spraying. It is a green flamboyant colour with orange bands. I've got some moss green candy paint which is a close match. I hope that I have enough fine grain silver base coat. I've also got the 2 pack lacquer. I need to check my spray guns.

It's all a bit of a bu99er as my brother got me a Garmin Edge 130 for my birthday. It's ready to go but I haven't. I'm not sure if I am up to it today or not. I will let my wife drive to our daughter's for lunch to conserve energy.

Are modern cycle manufacturers embarrassed by their bikes?
When I'm out and see another bike I'm often curious as to what make and model it is. It has become increasingly difficult as a lot of the bikes are a dull Matt finish with the brand in a matching colour. The Matt finish for one thing will put me off but if it was in a nice colour which was attractive I wouldn't be able to tell who made it as they have hidden the make. They are also becoming like modern cars in looking like one another.

A belated good morning from a mostly sunny Suffolk. A late night catching up with a few episodes of 'Fallout' with a couple of drinks and then a decent lie in are to blame. Coffee has been had.
The washing machine is currently dealing with a load of towels and is being solar powered at the moment. I've decided not to go to Silverstone on Sunday as the weather forecast has changed from being merely chilly and breezy to add in possible rain and I'm not that desperate for a day out.
Nothing much to do today, just the regular faffing around and a trip into town as I'm running low on milk.

Noticed that in Halfords yesterday. The cycling part in my local store is on a mezannine floor and never especially bright. The bikes on display all merged into an uninspiring dull mass and that was with them in mint condition; imagine what they would be like piled up outside a cafe midride.
Overcast but drizzle seems to have ceased.
Two wash loads hung out either side of an Asda and Waitrose visit. Running low on fruit juiice I checked the trolley app last night to find it 45% cheaper at Asda. Typically the price on the shelf did not match that so I used their self scan app which confirmed the lower price.
Cheap milk and a bag of frozen chips from Waitrose.
