On my ride today

Last night after successfully testing my electric motor I thought it would help if I cleaned up the wheels by using an electric powered brass wire wheel. The wheels cleaned up nicely so I thought I would see what effect it had. It stopped working! I must have dislodged something. I'll have another look.

There should be a thin bent metal wire bearing on the back of both wheels on one side.

First swallow sighting for me this year, a lone one but I am sure there are others.

Last week there was one swallow on its own at the top of a very tall shrub in my garden. I noticed from looking it up on line, that the male and female are very similar in colour. This one had a blue/green chest.

There was a little bit of sunshine for the latter part of the afternoon and the rain that was heading this way appears to have fizzled out. Fingers crossed that it stays dry for the away day Thursday into Friday. Apart from flexing the debit card on yet another gig ticket, the evening has been spent in much the same lack of activity mode as the rest of the day.

I don`t know the sex of the one I saw as it was doing 30mph ? I was doing 18mph on the bike.

The latter part of the afternoon the sun did come out but the skies looked threatening at times, at least I got a dry ride in.
