A drizzly start here chez Casa Reynard, but the day gradually got brighter.

Sleep was odd. Woke up a couple of times, then woke up proper with a stiff back and a numb arm. Came downstairs, fed the cat, made my usual :cuppa: and did some writing.

Did all the basic chores, and then have had a quiet day. Didn't have a "formal" luncheon, just grazed on crusty bread, cheese, charcuterie and fruit while watching the snooker.

Listened to the F1, and now back to the snooker.

Had a jacket potato with beans and cheese for supper, although mixing some mozzarella with the cheddar might've been a mistake, as I needed knitting needles due to the cheese pull.

I did splurge all of £20 on the Bay of E for a cat tree for Madam Boo. Bought it from a retailer in Ipswich that sells shop-soiled items or returns, so I got it somewhat cheaper than elsewhere.

A most agreeable day has been had.

I decided to take the train into Felixstowe rather than walk the couple of miles and am glad I did given the amount of walking I did for the rest of the day. Something like a total of 4 hours down one half of the prom, back up, along the other half of the prom and back again just looking at and taking photos of the entrants in the classic car run. Then the 2.5 mile walk home with a stop roughly half way for a most welcome pint. Some sunshine, a little bit of warmth and just generally very relaxed.

I lost count of the amount of times I overheard people using the 'I/my dad/my grandad had one of those' type phrase during the afternoon.

The Grand Prix has been part watched but mostly listened to as I was doing other things, so will catch up with that and everything else over the next few days as I'm currently enjoying the IMSA racing from Laguna Seca and trying to tidy up the pics taken this afternoon.

Hopefully no-one needed what's in the box.
