Still got the deadly snottyitus ! Decided to cook Thai food tonight to awaken my taste buds. We purchased a recipe book from a restaurant we dined in in Stratford Upon Avon, so I'm giving it a try. Salmon parcels, pork bites and chicken satay for mains. All prepped and the meat is marinading,

The salmon parcels are sublime. Salmon in a baby gem lettuce leaf, layered with slice of ginger, slice of lime, diced red onion, lemon grass, and a drizzle of the sauce (basically siracha, tamarind, soy), with a sprinkle of fried onion on top. You pick up the leaf, wrap it, then pop in the cake hole. The flavours just flow through as you bite into it.

One alteration to the recipe was not to add all the sugar, opting for a small squirt of honey instead. No wonder some recipe's taste so amazing with serious amounts of sugar in.

50 miles completed and it was bliss
Suns shining and it was chilly to start with but it got better.
50km completed here. Sunny and short sleeved jersey type warm, but there's a bit of a breeze coming in off the North Sea and that's still chilly.
As much as I'd like to be sitting outside, there's an outdoor childrens' party somewhere very nearby and someone else seems to have been playing something bass heavy most of the afternoon which I'm picking up as background annoyance.
Tempting to have half an hour flat out on the sofa before cooking tea,

Raining/drizzling nearly all day. Switched a multi release cleat for a normal one on one shoe as attempted spinning yesterday evening for some reason had multiple unclippings.
Then finally started on trying to tidy the loft. Scrubbed the original plan to move stuff out of it probably temporarily in favour of clearing it of empty boxes that were filling a big area. Ended up with a car full of flattened boxes and polystyrene with only the drivers seat clear.
After disposing of all then a failed visit to Tesco for bananas, but more cheap free from.

Without knocking Royal Mail left a parcel in our open porchway,I saw the driver leaving,so I asked him to hand it to me,he left I got talking to Mrs P it was a box of flowers. Our address and postcode but not our name,so Mrs P has been to all the numbers with a three ,we still have the flowers and some poor women does not,but what annoyed me was RM not knocking,in my time that would have been a serious offence.
