Good morning from a 3rd floor hotel room in mostly cloudy and still damp from an early morning downpour Manchester. Today's view is of the River Irwell, two new tower blocks (Trinity Towers?) and the never ending traffic at the junction at the end of Regent Road.

The usual oversized cooked breakfast has been had and it's got another 15-20 minutes to settle before I start the walk back to Victoria Station for the journey home.

A very good evening was had yesterday - quite impressed with Aviva Studios - and Big Thief put on a great show as always.

it never fails to surprise me how my industry activity falls off a cliff this time of year. kind of a shock & I have to switch gears. July is a ghost town in our office

Another delayed train due to an 'incident' on the mainline. Looks like a bit of juggling with my route shouldn't cost me too much time, but LNER will still have to pay up on the delay.
