Itching to get back on my bike's

It's been a warm and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard, and a day that got increasingly cloudy.

Slept super well, and overslept. It's the first time I've had more than seven hours in some time. So felt refreshed, but began the day somewhat behind the curve after being woken up by a cat that was reporting a hungry. So, downstairs, fed the cat, made a :cuppa:and took it upstairs to do some writing.

After, cleared the chores. and went back to the utility room to resume the clearing up. Found another large box of knitting needles and another box of beads. Fortunately another cat show friend volunteers for a library local to her, where they have a craft group. So some of the stuff will end up there. And managed to unbung the very sticky drawers on a bureau. What was bunging them up were A6 envelopes. I've no idea how many.

Had a lovely luncheon of sourdough toast with gorgonzola & salami, an orange, some cheese biscuit things and a pot of tea.

Back to the utility room afterwards. One mystery suitcase threw up another load of moth-eaten fur coats, but I think that's the last of them. All but one were bagged up for the tip. There's a full-length astrakhan that hasn't suffered too badly, so I'll air it out, and see if I can't turn it into a nice rug. Another mystery suitcase turned up a collection of fedora hats.

As it was quite cool (relatively), I then spent a half hour strimmering some of the grass around the house. Also watered all the planters, and located a jar of leather restorer in the garage. I have some handbags and a briefcase that are in need of TLC.

Lovely supper of sweet & sour spam, stir fried veggies, rice and crispy seaweed (aka fried kale) :hungry:

A quiet evening is being had.

Made it home eventually - 2 hours later than scheduled. The first thing done was to make a strong coffee and two doorstep thickness slices of toast & marmalade before unpacking the overnight bag and chucking it in the spare room.
Very little done this evening other than to update the finances to account for yesterday's away spending and then add on tomorrow's pension deposit and immediately deduct the forthcoming bills for June.

I believe vintage fedora hats may be fetching some money, nowadays.
