Cycled to and from work yesterday - dry both ways.

My boss has decided to resign - I will not be applying for his job.

heavy rain this morning so came in on public transport - managed to keep generally dry.

Ernie was very generous with £175.

That is an extremely useful sum. I might donate some to the local Community Cupboard. That is like a food bank in some ways, but much more flexible in what they stock, including fresh fruit and vegetables.

That's what I put in the car on the way out yesterday - it go me 27.5 litres of diesel which would just about be enough for a round trip to Silverstone or two round trips to Norwich or Cambridge. I can get to Manchester by train for less than that booking in advance!

Let alone the cost of parking. It is cheaper and faster, barring any unfortunate incidents, for me to get to Chicago from here by train(which I can cycle to). Ticket costs me less than parking my car in Chicago.

So much for today's forecast heavy rain showers which is the reason I've had an indoors domestics day. Other than the early morning soaking, there's only been a couple of very light showers and it's been quite sunny for the past hour. At least everything has been done and won't need to be bothered with for another week or two.

I may go out for a walk shortly as what there is on the rain radar seems to be passing by to the south.

I'm hoping for a dry evening in Taunton today. After weeks of radio- and chemo-therapy, I'm now very restricted as to what I can do while my body deals with all the toxins it has been subjected to. So, I'm very much immobile. And the 3rd England vs India Twenty20 is scheduled for this evening. If you can all blow the rainclouds away from the ground I'll be very, very grateful.

Great fish and chips at Seniors,Normoss near Blackpool.Then a visit to sunny but draughty Fleetwood,which included a massive two scoop ice cream with a flake.All in all a good day,with just a little shock outside the cottage,f i l nearly fainted,i held him up with a type of bear hug.We then got him to the sofa,he recovered quickly.He has never done that much action in twelve months.It was something i was worried about.

Seems to have been a fine day contrary to the forecast.
Chased the hospital again and BT forms they assured me are in the post.
Aside from a wobble first thing, zooming instead of scrolling, the work software behaved despite numerous local power cuts for some unexplained reason. I wasn't affected.
Enquired what was happening with the car and apparently its on schedule for completion on Thursday. Bit more than 3 days.
Sunny evening 3 mile Tesco trek for Clubcard £1 oranges and bananas. Also picked up a tin of Brasso as the current one has dry contents. The only thing I have found to clean the bathroom basin tap; Bartenders Friend is useless IME.
