Back home from a few hours riding in and around Cambridge. Just about shorts & short sleeved weather out there. Managed to find a couple of pairs of shorts in my size at Decathlon in the Grafton Centre, so that's saved me £3 P&P on an online order.

Gammon steak, Jersey Royals & peas for tea then I've got 4 bottles of Ghost Ship Double IPA chilling in the fridge for the evening.

We are here. In the end I just followed instructions from SWMBO who was using here phone for directions. We went up the M25
, went Past Duxford and saw a Hurricane flying. Came across hardly any potholes or solar panels. There are plenty of trees here which are sadly missing back home. Dutch Elm disease killed off a lot back home.
We did a quick look round Sutton Hoo when we arrived, we will do a longer tour another day.

It's been a pleasant and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, and while it looked like it might rain, it never did.

Slept well and overslept massively. Madam Boo was not impressed. So downstairs, feed the cat, make a :cuppa: and take that back upstairs to do some writing and listen to the cricket and F1. Took a break from the novel and put some time into a poem that's part of an anthology I'm putting together.

Did the chores next, then loaded up the car with all the stuff for the tip.

A lovely luncheon of avocado on toast, a banana, a tangerine and a pot of tea.

Then off on the tip run, and everything was suitably disposed of. No queueing at all today - note to self, do NOT go at a weekend. I did peruse the bikes, but nothing of any great interest. On the upsides, I noticed that they have just added a bay / collection point for medical aids. That solves a headache for me, as I have two raised stools and two raised toilet seats left over from mum's hip replacement surgery that the local health trust never bothered to collect. I will take them next time I go, and that will free up some garage space.

Popped into town on the way home. Art shop was visited, and managed to get most of the paint I wanted - they were out of stock on Payne's Grey, but I still have some left. B&M yielded the cat litter I couldn't get last weekend, plus a birthday card, and Tesco yielded the appropriate cheese to go with the aforementioned card.

I treated myself to a punnet of strawberries, and I bought a planter with catmint for Madam Boo.

And yes, she's terrified of it. Whoops!

Now planning on a quiet evening in front of the TV.

A gas person turned up this morning who I recognised and he knew the house so given the lack of any other contact told him to look into getting my fire removed. The main problem is matching the cut through decorative brick trim on the outside wall.

Largely sunny afternoon work visits with a few cyclists about included one lady time trailing along the Boroughbridge bypass; the A168 not the A1(M). I then passed her again using the drops instead on the lumpy twisty road from Dishforth to Ripon.

Some plainly poor mpg poorly driven cars about with SW numbers on them.
More noted on an evening shopping trip to Sainsbury's and one had Street Weekend on it which was trying to overtake doing 30 in a 30.

Stacks more 1/5th off Freefrom bought and on the return Tesco visited for cheap fruit juice and Almond Magmums before a 10k spin.
