Twix coffees this morning a 2.7 mile Tesco trek for bananas and a 84p bag of Royal Galas. Co-op once again failed to have anything tempting in reduced section.
Watched the PVRed US game, seem the better side so far but thats probably not saying much.
Loft excavated a bit more and a stack of old electrical appliances and two bags of coffee taken to the recycling site.
Then wandered around town picking up gift card free iced buns and bread for toast fron M&S
Ebike stripped of most of its accessories for its visit to Chevin and the replacement controller fitting. Left on the bell and the plastic studs for the camera mount as I think trying to remove those could result in bendy metal straps snapping.
Visit to Asda may be coming up. Between 5 and 8 on days England or Scotland are playing their app claims to be giving giving £5 off a £15 spend. Today being listed as obviously they will be closed at those times tomorrow.

Well what a full day,Sgt Major Mee is in sole charge,as Commander Mrs P is in Lundon, waiting to record a charity record on Sunday at Abbey Road studio. So my day prep dinner, nothing special sausage mash peas.Wash up then, then the Lordship's tea. Then on to edging lawn and cutting lawn moved over gardens and did same on neighbours two lawns, don't be impressed they are small, but it's the thought that counts. Then sorted out and put away the washing done by Mrs P before she left.Afternoon coffee for his Lordship and three biccies,i then checked over two bikes for next Saturdays son/dad ride out :hyper::bicycle:.Then with time aplenty i did some weeding of next doors driveway, shower time and tea in twenty mins, all clean and fresh clothes on.A pint of stout is chillin in the fridge along with a bar of dark chocolate, all in all a great day.

Or grass has been cut depending on how you feel ✂️
Apparently a 'lawn' refers to the 'managed area of grass on a property'.
So by that defenition, our patch definitely isn't a lawn as we cut and er, 'manage' it when we can be bothered as it produces flowering 'weeds' which the insects like and our cats like to stalk each other in the long grass.
So it's a win win situation - ! ^_^

A warm enough and occasionally sunny day here chez Casa Reynard, albeit quite a blustery one.

Shortchanged again on sleep. Hey ho. Downstairs, feed the cat, made a :cuppa: and took it back upstairs. No writing today, as i curled up in bed watching Trooping the Colour on the laptop in the company of Madam Boo.

Did the chores. Other than that, am having a quiet and snacky (toast) day following the Le Mans coverage and assorted other sports. Annoyingly, the *good* live timing from Le Mans has vanished behind a paywall.

The old bread, which is on the verge of developing language skills, is almost eaten.

I think you well may be right, something hazy in the mind springs to life. Do you remember the coins (tokens) that were given away with Esso petrol, for a world cup I think ?

I've got a bunch of those coins somewhere. I think they were for Italia 90.

Strange things to do during half time of a 8pm World Cup match no.1.

Drag a potted hosta from the back yard to the end of the front drive.

It has been repotted twice and is thriving in its largest plant pot yet. Have a copper ring around the pot to keep snails off but have had to move it twice recently to stop the leaves touching either a wall or the bike shed. Decided as it was again touching the wall it was time for a relocation.
