It's been a coolish day here chez Casa Reynard, grey early doors, but now nice and sunny.
Slept well, but somewhat short-changed. So downstairs, fed the cat, made a
and took it upstairs to catch up with some of the sumo that I fell asleep in front of yesterday. I didn't fall asleep in front of the footy, that was a banging match, such a pleasure to watch.
Chores were deferred to the afternoon, as I wanted an early trip to Tesco so that I could get home before the Grand Prix. Really, I wanted a nice bunch of white roses for Tuesday, and didn't want to leave it till last minute. A suitable bouquet was acquired. Quite a bit to be hand on yellow sticker, but nothing much of interest, especially since they were an hour away from doing final reductions. That said, I still picked up a few avocados on YS, as I do like a bit of avocado on toast.
Home to listen to the F1 over a luncheon of avocado on toast, a packet of cheese & onion crisps and some cherries.
I've had a quiet afternoon catching up on stuff that I didn't do yesterday. Sorted out some books, did some laundry and caught up on a few other sporting bits. Also sorted out some ingredients for supper. All that's left to do is water the planters and do a small bit of cooking.

Oh yeah. Gave Colin the Skoda a bath and wax yesterday, as he was looking very dusty and dirty. Today, in the sunshine I can see where I've missed bits - will have to rectify that tomorrow, and buff away the wax smears. And yeah, no hosepipe, so a bucket and sponge job. Didn't do his roof, as I couldn't be bothered to get the step ladder out.

I think I've been saved from spending £££ on something I really don't need. The bike I've been keeping an eye on still had a couple of days to run on Ebay but appears to have been pulled with no explanation given (off site sale?). I'd almost persuaded myself to hit the buy it now button despite the distance to collect as the seller confirmed this morning that it's the larger sized version (i.e. my size) where most of the others are the medium (too small) ones.

In better news I now have a nice clean & shiny car and hopefully the polish will give the paint a bit of protection as we're coming up to acidic purple bird sh*t time as they start on the blackberries. A load of washing was done while the car was being cleaned and then hung out to dry before I did the windscreen & window glass cleaning.
After that I got as far as getting a bike out of the shed and putting on a cycling jersey before changing my mind about going into town for the free hot drink and instead went for a 4 mile walk while listening to the majority of the Spa F1 race. Very little else has been done today other than to put the washing away and to overdo the helping of new potatoes with my tea.
