Been off work today, woke at 4am with shivers and temperature, covered in sweat and in agony all over. Popped some codeine and lay on the settee for a couple of hours, then went back to bed. Managing it by swapping co-codamol then ibuprofen every two hours. Had exactly the same a couple of months ago. Only lasted a couple of days.

Flipping Outlook on the work laptop got into the habit of shutting down today
Post WAH for a change a lack of wind of any strength.
New bike saddle clamped to a stand and the gear changes checked. All seems okay. Then the handlebars sorted, eventually.
Now just remains to strip the chain of whatever is on it, best removed, and then oiled.
Evening Co-op trek for cottage pies for the freezer, milk, apples and a heavily reduced freefom lemon drizzle cake. Just sampled and very nice. Best before Saturday.

Another afternoon and evening of doing very little.
Got home from Beccles, had a shower and did a bit of faffing around, then put the deck chair out in the shaded part of the garden, opened the back gate to get the benefit of the breeze, made a cold drink, opened a book and that was it for a couple of hours.
The evening has been more sitting around indoors with the fan on as the breeze has dropped and isn't circulating through the open windows in the house.
Tonight's hot chocolate is about to be made. Would it be wrong to follow it up with a Magnum style ice cream?

It's been a hot, sunny and blustery day here chez Casa Reynard.
Slept well enough, and overslept. I had a very strange dream about leaking plumbing that seemed entirely logical while I was dreaming. So downstairs, fed a rather peckish cat, made a
and took it upstairs to do some writing.
Carried on working on the apple project. The feedback I've had from the chair of the parish council and the conservation group that runs the orchard is very encouraging., so I know I can make headway.
Had a very late luncheon of the last of the rosemary hummus on toast, greek yoghurt with raspberries and a golden kiwi fruit, plus a small pot of tea.
Treated myself to three quarters of an hour in the garden listening to the cricket. After, it's been a full-on kitchen evening. I've made a plum crumble, a kipper pate and a batch of spicy beanburgers. Then there was all the washing up to do, too.
Supper was a wholemeal roll filled with a beanburger, cheese, mayo & ketchup, and then plum crumble with custard.
Now having a quiet evening watching TV and catching up on a few things.

You're certain about that statement.work is migrating to another software program that manages the entire company's business & we have to hand key in pretty much everything but all the data is going into different places in the new software & the software isn't fully developed & we start our season in 2-3 weeks
so this place is gonna be my sanity break
