Really enjoying the smooth 3 speed sturmey hub and touch wood all gears are still there and with the advantage of the 2 outer ratio's to choose from , at this rate i might be tempted to try a 20+ mile ride on it at the weekend ^_^

Treated me and my Raleigh roadster to a nice 29 mile early morning ride today out of the house by 5.20 am .

Headed up the A510 through Finedon and over the A14 through the Cranfords , Barton Seagrave,Burton Latimer,Islip Orlingbury,Hannington,Holcot,Sywell,Mears Ashby,Wilby and home .

Bike rode fantastic about 5 slipped gear changes but hey . Averaged 14.5 mph so well impressed

Very nice. The brazed on SA guide wheel is definitely a Lenton thing. have you managed to get the chain tensioned yet? I sometimes have to take a couple of links out.

What size are the wheels? I think they went to 27" from 26 in about 1955, also the light bracket moved to the fork at about the same time.

There is something about cruising nice and relaxed , with a ticking noise
