I'd love to have carpets instead of laminate, for the neighbours to move their washing machine from directly above my bed and stop using it at 8am on weekends, for the walls not to be full of cracks from said washing machine, for the plumbing to be sorted so that dishwater doesn't spew out of the shower tray and drag up debris from the drain in the garden, for the garden to be firebombed and started over.

I'd also quite like a shed and a few more kitchen cupboards and the landlord was rather stingy when putting them in. Too much wall space and not enough storage space.

... it had a swimming pool, so I'm getting one dug this winter for fun 'n' stuff for next summer. ^_^
I worked out that if I reorganised the basement when I was underpinning the house I could have had a 3x10m lap pool in there. That would have got a lot of use.

A wood burner would be a good addition given the amount of fire wood I generate and have been getting rid of.

I'd like it to be self cleaning and tidying. Apart from that, it does us just fine.

If the Russian/Ukrainian/Chinese millionaires stopped sending letters asking us if we want to sell.
If French/Dutch/German/Belgian/British/Irish lottery winners ditto.
If people who vaguely know me didn't try to angle for a cheap holiday every time they see me.
If the strawberries were a bit closer to the pool.
If the tennis courts weren't quite so windy.
If the stairs to the maids' quarters didn't creak every time I stepped on them.
If gold and silver leaf to redo the ceiling in the grand salon wasn't quite so expensive.
If the furniture in my bedroom didn't cost as much to insure as my entire house building and contents back in Ulverston used to.

Hadn't spotted that... congrats to both of you
Thank you.
I guess you must have been one of the last to notice.^_^
It would make 10 bikes in our household (at the current count) and 12 all in including my Dad's ones.
Still only one tractor though, so we might need to discuss the clatter* of tiny gears one day.

*As I break yet another diff!

Oh no, not again! Did the welds go (or more likely, you welds held and the rest dissolved around them....;))

I don't want my own tractor. But you know I now have a thing for Halfingers.

As for my house, what would make it better? If I could pick it up and put it in the middle of a field. No neighbours to contend with!
+1:biggrin:
Theres a house not too far away that is completely in the middle of the woods...you would only know its there if you found it by accident, as I did:smile: Its not too big and has barns, a stable, litle outhouses and a little stream running through the garden. That would be my ideal.
