As OP I'm pleased to see this thread popping up regularly as a useful forum.

I'm 2.5 years post op.

PSA below limit if detection.

Plumbing not quite as before, but pretty damn good. Especially as daily diuretic for other issues makes me need to pee alot mid morning.

Hydraulics, a long way from pre op. But hey ho mustn't complain too much.

I'm amazed at how being open.about my journey encourages others, here and in the real world, to open up and talk about their diagnosis and treatment.

Keep talking guys. It helps.

Thanks PK99 our diagnosis journey were very similar, I hope the recovery is at least as good as yours.
Thanks, I have found this thread useful.

Virtually a month since my last post on this subjec.

My last HbA1c blood glucose test had increased slightly so I’m back on the Empafluglozin which excretes glucose into your urine and generally I’m up 2/3 times a night for a pee.

My appointment is Monday for the digital intrusion, I’m sure it has a proper name, plus BP review and catchup.

Sadly my appointment is not Monday it was a week tomorrow, but ive had to get it moved as a cycling buddy who dropped dead from a heart attack funera. So it’s going to be 8 weeks after I first requested it. Let’s hope that’s not important

Sad reason but you really should not put off the appointment for any reason. My brother is on palliative care now. I hope you have a better outcome.

Just had a phonecall appointment re my enlarged prostate issues.
Got to have an MRI scan and a PSA blood test.
Recommended no cycling for at least 5 days before blood test along with no ejaculations beforehand as well for same time.
Also blood test to be done at least 28 days since last prostate feel , so got to wait until late November or early December.
Was Also advised to double dip tea bags IE pour boiling water on a new tea bag leave to soak a short while then dispose of the tea and refil with fresh water and drink that cup even if using decaf .
Also advised against drinking blackcurrant cordial or juice.
Sit down for wees and don't rush and before finishing lean forward so that the last bit of wee gets out .

Good luck with your tests.

The local Lions group did a mass PSA testing evening last month. Mine came back "green" (the level would have been ok for the 40-49 age group) and they said no need to test for another two years. I'm 56 and I suppose I've had vague symptoms of an enlarged prostate for the last 15 years, but it all seems benign. Let's hope it wasn't one of the false negatives.
